Last April and May 2009, I was in Keppel Batangas Shipyard during the annual drydocking of my previous ship.

An incoming ship entered the ship-lift drydock, after the ship was fitted in the craddle she was lifted till the flooring of the ship-lift dock is nearly same level with the ground. After a short repair, the vessel was lowered in the water level by ship-lift and she left the drydock.
A ship after completing her repair while under the blocks on the ground was transferred by rail to the shiplift. The shiplift lowered her till sea level for her departure from the Shipyard, and later she will depart for her voyage.
The MV Eastern Venus completed her drydocking and will be leaving soon.
